Built by practitioners, for operations teams
Norsewave was founded by three people who have shipped production systems, not decks. We started because we kept seeing the same problem — and decided to solve it properly.
Why we started Norsewave
"Norsewave was founded by three practitioners who got tired of watching companies waste money on AI projects that never shipped. We started by building something real for a local business — and found a market full of companies that needed the same thing: implementation judgment, not more demos."
The market is saturated with AI consultants who can show you a demo, build a pilot, and bill you for six months without shipping anything your team can actually run. That's not a technology problem. It's a prioritization and implementation judgment problem.
We built Norsewave specifically because we believed the right approach was to start with the workflow, not the technology — to be honest about when AI helps and when it doesn't — and to build things that are production-ready from the start, not prototypes that get handed off without documentation or governance.
Practical implementation over hype
The AI industry is full of demonstrations and proofs of concept that never make it to production. Norsewave's entire thesis is that implementation judgment — knowing what to build, how to build it, and what to leave alone — is the scarce resource. Not technology.
Operating realism
We've all worked in or alongside operations-heavy companies. We understand that workflows are messy, people are busy, data is imperfect, and change is hard. Our implementations reflect that reality — they're designed to work in the real world, not the ideal world.
Automation where enough, AI where justified
We are not advocates for AI in every situation. Most operational problems are better solved with deterministic automation than with AI. When AI is the right answer, it needs governance infrastructure to be worth deploying. We're pragmatic about both tools.
Three founders, real technical backgrounds

Brian Gardner
Founder
Brian Gardner founded Norsewave Technologies after spending years watching companies invest heavily in AI projects that never made it to production. With a background in Azure, DevOps, and full-stack development, he has a practiced instinct for knowing what to build, what to buy, and what to leave alone. He started Norsewave specifically to close the gap between the pitch and the working system.
Alex Buchan
Co-Founder
Alex Buchan brings 18 years of hardware and software experience — most recently as a Senior QA Engineer at Apple — and a career built at the intersection of physical and digital systems. He has spent that time in prototyping labs and production environments where automation has to work in the real world, not just on a diagram. He is currently founding ATK Fabrication in Detroit, bringing that same build-it-for-real discipline to everything he touches at Norsewave.

Jonathan Sydorowicz
Co-Founder
Jonathan Sydorowicz is the kind of engineer who cannot skim the surface of a technology — when something new crosses his path, he goes deep until he understands it completely. With a career defined by staying at the bleeding edge, he brings both the depth that comes from genuine curiosity and the practical instinct that comes from building things, not just studying them. That drive shapes every system he builds at Norsewave.
What we're not
The market has no shortage of people who can build something with AI. We want to be clear about how Norsewave is different.
All three founders have real technical backgrounds in Azure, DevOps, full-stack development, and agentic systems. We ship production systems.
We are agnostic about which tool solves the problem. We will tell you when automation is enough and when AI is not warranted.
We build things that run in your operation. Not proofs of concept that require three months of engineering to productionize after we leave.
Every engagement has named Norsewave people accountable for what we deliver. We don't hide behind project managers and junior subcontractors.
